What you may do

What you may do depends on your plan, as the pricing page and the terms say in the same words:

Free

Evaluation and prototypes: trying the data and building something to show it. Not for running a product that others rely on.

Pro

Use inside your own product, including a commercial one, showing the data to your own users. You may cache answers for up to 24 hours. No bulk export, no resale, and no publishing a dataset built from the data.

Licence

Negotiated, from €149 a month. Bulk delivery as files, daily or per quarter, and the right to load the data into your own database and serve it to your customers or include it in a dataset you sell, with the attribution "data by KrabyData" wherever it is shown. Only the SEC-derived datasets and the identity layer are ever licensed. European issuer files are never licensed, at any price, until their issuers agree in writing, and the cusip and sedol fields never are.

Whatever the plan, the rules of each source below apply. Without a licence you may not resell or republish the data as a dataset of its own (a file, a feed or an API of the same data), or load it in bulk to rebuild KrabyData's database.

SEC data

Holdings from Form N-PORT and fees from fund prospectuses come from SEC EDGAR. What the SEC publishes is in the public domain. What KrabyData adds, the compilation, the identity of each line, tickers and the corrections, is our work, and the rule on republishing above applies to it.

FIGI data

Listings and FIGIs come from OpenFIGI. Keep the attribution FIGI data from OpenFIGI wherever you show them; answers that carry a FIGI carry the text in attribution.

European issuer data

KrabyData collects daily holdings files from European fund issuers for PentaLab's own products. Those files may not be redistributed without the issuer's written consent, so KrabyData does not give them to customers, and nothing derived from them is in the answers your key receives. When an issuer agrees, its data will be added here with its own terms.

Identifier codes

CUSIP codes belong to CUSIP Global Services and SEDOL codes to LSEG. KrabyData does not give them to customers. Do not use KrabyData to build a mapping to those codes.

How old the data is

Holdings from SEC filings are two to five months old: funds file monthly, but only the third month of each quarter is made public, 60 days after the quarter ends. Each answer carries its date and, for SEC holdings, a line saying so. If you show the data to others, show the date with it.

No warranty

The data is given as it is, with its source on every answer. Check anything a decision depends on against the source filing, whose address is in source.url.
